Dissidentia is the pressure you feel in your chest when you’re expected to sit there and quietly behave under a system that works for them and not us, the rising chorus telling you to tear shit up. It comes from the Latin, combining dis- (“apart”) and sedere (“to sit”). It was used to express religious non-conformity in the 18th century and expanded to political dissidence in the 20th.
The adapted art includes:
- Peach (Prunus Persica), 1924 by Royal Charles Steadman.
- “Face of Blonde Girl With Earrings”, 1923 by Władysław Theodore Benda.
- Peterborough Cathedral, c. 1930 by Herbert Gordon Warlow.
Model is wearing a medium but should be wearing a large. Sizing is normal, not oversized or boxy.
